A beautiful young female shepherd mix avail to adopt through Safe Paws Iowa! She found herself alone in a shelter in another state and looking at possible euthanasia after her litter of puppies were saved by another rescue but she was sadly left. Safe Paws Iowa wouldn't let that happen to this young momma so she happily jumped onto her freedom ride last Friday and found her way to central Iowa!! What we know after two days in her foster home. Does well in a kennel. Walks nicely on a leash with little or no pulling. Plays fetch and is happy/playful. 52 lbs, a petite girl that needs to put on a few pounds. Timid when meeting new people but warms up quickly and then is your BFF. You have to take it slowly, but we will work on this. Spayed and will soon be UTD on everything, including all preventatives. 52 lbs, a petite girl. Working on house training. She is quite smart so making great strides quickly. Snuggly, loves some cuddles but also does fine entertaining herself with a bone, toy, or kong. She has not been formally tested with other dogs but there were two others on her transport and she didn't show any aggression in what can be a stressful day.
