My Story

Visit me, Jordan, Boss of EveryPuppy of the Universe, at FUFFYBUTTS RESCUE RESORT to read my 'New Yorkie Times' articles. Fill out the
ADOPTION APPLICATION if you're interested in being adopted by this cute kid.

ADOPTION JUN 22-8: Frick and Frack have decided to adopt Kimberly and Ken, our little Toly's Mom and Dad. Toly will have no problem keeping these two old guys in line since her nickname is 'The Whip.' : ) Toly has thrived in Kimberly and Ken's home and this is the PAWFECT place for these two boys. We couldn't be happier that they've found their home.

JUN 19-080: Little Eskie (Frick) went in today for another blood test since his liver numbers were a little elevated. As it turns out, it's not his liver we have to be concerned about. It's his kidney beans. His BUN is now at the top of the acceptable range so the dogtor is guessing that his kidneys are not working as they should. He's also taking a medication for his heart murmur. This is one very, very special little guy and Grandma Jackie and Grandpa Don are doing everything right with him and Mo (Frack). Eskie does not like to walk on floors that do not have carpet on them so his new home MUST have carpet in almost the whole house. He's eating like a little horse and is so happy when he's being cuddled or getting to run around outside. We'll do another blood test in a few weeks to see how his kidneys are getting along.

JUN 2-08: Frick and Frack, also known as Eskie and Mo, are staying with Grandma Jackie and Grandpa Don. Why, you ask? Well, so they can be spoiled rotten! Frick wasn't eating very good and not walking at Hotel Jordan which concerned me a lot. It turns out that he doesn't like slick floors! The only kind of home he'll go to is one with carpet. Grandma and Grandpa started to hand-feed him and now he's eating like a little piglet. He can eat much easier now - they put the kinda-sorta soupy canned food on a towel and he can lap it up like a champ. See, he's missing part of his lower jaw due to poor nutrition and no medical care but that isn't stopping this little guy one bit. He's also trucking all over the farm, going up and down the driveway and clear out to the shop, usually with Grandpa Don hot on his trail to make sure he doesn't get into trouble. Not that a little tiny old guy like Frick could get into anything, but they just like to keep an eye on him. They've been calling him Eskie because he looks like a little Eskimo boy.

Frick/Eskie is quite the little snuggler and cuddler, too. He's really coming into his own with all the attention and love. He's a very, very special little guy. In a couple of weeks he'll have another blood test to determine if he actually has any problems with his liver or if, now that he's on heart meds, his liver enzymes are back to normal. He sure doesn't act like he doesn't feel good, that's fur shur! He's happy and silly and wonderful.

May 19-08: More information will be coming soon on 3.5 pound Frick. He was born on April 5, 1996 so he's no spring chicken....uhhh, spring pawmeranian, but he's too cute for his own good. He had a tumor in one of 'the boys' removed today, he's got a heart murmur, problems with his liver, and not one tooth in his mouth, but this little guy is happy and he smiles!!
HUG AND KISS YOUR KIDLETS LIKE THERE'S NO TOMORROW.

Please be patient with us - we're taking care of a lot of kids - our own and the foster kids - and we have families, homes and full time jobs. We're giving meds to the sick kids, playing with the healthy kids, and loving on all the kids. We're doing their laundry, trying to teach them manners and where to do their business, and cleaning up their accidents. In other words, we're just a little busy but we'll return email inquiries just as fast as we pawssibly can. Thanks!
ADOPTIONS: We don't let the fact that you might live out of state stop any adoption that's meant to be, but you MUST be willing to drive, or fly, all the way to pick up your new family member. We do not ship these kids on airplanes by themselves - we think they'd have a hard time getting through security without their rabies tag setting off the metal detectors. If the kid needs a health certificate because they're flying home, that will be an expense for the new family.

ADOPTION DONATIONS: When you see the adoption donation amounts, we'd like you to know that 90% of the time the donation amount doesn't even come close to covering that kid's dogtor bills. This is definitely not a money-making venture. We're usually so far in the hole but the impawtant thing is to get these kids the medical care they need and help them find the pawfect family. That's our top pawority. (I just can't resist using 'paw' whenever I can!)

POTTY TRAINING: Please note that we NEVER say our kids are 100% potty-trained. How stupid would we be to say something like that? If you're willing to be trained by your new family member, please fill out an application. If you're looking for a totally potty-trained kid, you may as well stop at the toy store on your way home from work and buy a stuffed toy because those are the only reliable ones to NOT potty in your home. There is a period of adjustment, not just for the new family member but for everyone in the house. You must be patient, understanding, and willing to work with your new family member. It can take anywhere from several days to several months. You must be 100% committed to this, it's a lifetime commitment.

Hug and kiss your kids like there's no tomorrow.
