Freyja had been living in the shelter for 4 months when we met her. She was found at the city dump, a skeletal figure that had lost her will to live. The staff at the shelter took pity on her and nursed her back to health. Once we tagged her for rescue, she received heartworm treatment and is now cleared for adoption!
Freyja is 3+ years old and 80 lbs. She has learned that an outstretched hand means pets and not pain. She now seeks out affection from people and loves the company of other dogs. Her heart-shaped nose doesn’t lie!
Freyja is fostered in NYC and is available for adoption anywhere in the US as long as the adopter is willing/able to travel to NYC to meet and adopt her.
