My Story

ADOPTED! - Who can resist a face like this? And Fred is just as sweet as he looks! He has a laid-back disposition and he gets along well with everybody--dogs, cats, grown- ups and kids (as long as they treat him gently and with respect)! Fred would do fine with or without another doggie playmate, and--while he doesn't require a lot of exercise--he would love to spend time with you in the great outdoors by going for long walks, playing in the snow, etc. Fred enjoys watching out the window, keeping track of the birds and squirrels in the neighborhood. He is cute and smart, he gives lots of kisses, and he can even retrieve his favorite toys (by name) and he can also retrieve your slippers for you! Fred weighs approx. 40 lbs. (he should actually be closer to 35 lbs., but he's a good eater!) and he is about five years old. Fred's dream is to have a safely fenced-in yard (but his foster mom doesn't like invisible fencing or tie-outs.) He'd like to have an owner who is retired, or who works out of their home (or just part time) because he really enjoys human companionship and he doesn't want to be a latchkey dog. Fred is neutered, heartworm tested, up to date on his immunizations, wormed, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $275. If you are interested in learning more about Fred, please e-mail Marti at: [email protected]
When you write, please include a short summary of your family situation and tell Marti a little about your daily schedule etc.--and what you are looking for in a dog--so that she can determine if Fred would be a good fit for you--and vice versa. Then, if we all agree that Fred would be a good match for you, she will e-mail you an adoption application. (Oh, by the way....the cute little (human) boy in the picture already has a loving home, so he is not available for adoption.)
Please click on "One Starfish Rehoming Connections" above the photo to read more about our rescue's adoption policies and fees. We do not operate a humane society or shelter, so we do not have a facility that is open to the public. Our dogs are fostered by volunteers in private homes, and they are not available for viewing until an adoption application is filled out and references are checked. Please read the information on our home page (by clicking on our rescue name above this dog's photo) before contacting us.
