Fred

Hello, my name is Fred I am 1.5-2 yrs old. Just one look in his liquid brown eyes and you know he just wants to be loved. Fred was found on Diana Lane near the intermediate school when he invited himself into our yard. He is very friendly but shy for a few days till he gets to know you. He is also remarkably quiet for a Beagle and does not bark or howl much (unless he sees a squirrel!). Fred is very fond of being petted and having his belly rubbed. He will place his paws on your knee, lean against you and look at you with those eyes that plead for loving. He will also play fetch some and loves to run around the yard. He does tend to bury his milk bones or treats. He does play well with other dogs and chases and tussles with them but he is a little alpha and will try to push aside lower level dogs. He gets along well with adults and children but unknown around cats. He obeys the sit and stay and come fairly well but needs a little work on walking on a leash as he does get distracted by smells. He is a wonderful dog that deserves a forever home and lots of love.

Adoptions are held on Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Petco on Bay Area Boulevard. The adoption fee starts at $125. All dogs are heartworm tested, on heartguard, fixed, vaccinated, dewormed and defleaed. All dogs are microchipped.
