Freckles

Freckles is ALL love, all acceptance, all trust. He is deeply attached to his human friends and loves to be snuggled right up next to you, seeing if he can shapeshifter his little body into yours. At 3, Freckles has made a lot of progress at PAWS, as we’ve watched him grow in confidence. He is starting to feel so much better about things, and he’s starting to smile and show joy again. We do not dwell on the past at PAWS, because our animal guests live very much in the present. They don’t harbor grudges or mull over people who have disappointed them. So, we are working to let go of our own disappointment at Freckles’ owner, who abandoned him twice at PAWS. It has taken some time to rebuild his confidence and help him feel better about things. He’s starting to show us his joyful, silly side. Freckles LOVES stability and routine. He loves knowing what time he’ll wake up (7am), what’s for breakfast (same kibble every day, doesn’t matter to him!). He loves seeing his friends (too many to count) and going for walks on our trail. He loves treats and will sit politely for them. He loves playtime in our off leash area. He loves his required snuggle time, required because you MUST snuggle this sweet potato. How can you not?
