My name is Freckles and I’m looking for my forever home. Are you looking for a quiet, laid-back girlie who loves naps and peanut butter sandwiches? I came to my foster home here in Troy, MO, from a commercial breeding facility where it was my job to make puppies. That was hard work! Retirement suits me much better. Finally, I can nap in peace! Foster mom says I snore, but I think she’s lying. Sometimes she tries to wake me up and I sigh at her loudly to let her know that I am not to be disturbed. But when I’m feeling energetic, we go outside for walks. I like exploring, unless there are big loud noises outside (like thunder or motorcycles) and then nope, I’m done – we are going back home NOW please. Foster mom says I’m stubborn. She is wrong. I have opinions, as any smart girl should. I’m a good girl! Because I’m so quiet and well-behaved, foster mom thinks I’d be fine in an apartment. I’m potty trained and don’t mess up anything that I’m not supposed to. I like to collect all of the toys and take them to my special nest (under foster mom’s bed). I don’t play with them, but I still like to have them there. Foster mom says I’m a hoarder. Hrmph. Girl, please. I get along well with dogs and kids, and even cats. I’m curious about the kittens here, but don’t chase them. I have no prey-drive to speak of. Can’t be bothered with that. I’m a healthy girl – spayed and vaccinated.
