Frank Sinatra - Frankie

My name is Frankie, that’s short for Frank Sinatra, because I have such beautiful light blue eyes like my namesake. I am 2 years old and am a super sweet boy, who is very playful and goofy. I have been with my foster family for several months, and they are very nice to me. I am happy to be wherever my person is. Since I was rescued from the shelter we don’t really know my past, but I may have been abandoned, because I am anxious and insecure sometimes when left alone. I love to snuggle and give kisses, and I am happy to sleep with you in bed if you will allow me to. My mommy says I’m a total cuddle bug. Have you seen my cute pictures? I am good with kids and other dogs and love to play with my 90 pound canine foster sister. She plays pretty rough and tumble, and she is big, but I am able to hold my own with her. I am a good boy. I love people and all visitors to our house. Sometimes I’m just so happy to meet you I can’t contain my excitement and will jump, but we are working on that, and I understand “off”, am eager to please, and am treat motivated. I also know sit, down and stay. I’m a smart boy. I like to play outside and am happy playing with my canine sister or even playing alone with toys. I love a good squeaky toy, but will destroy most stuffies right away. I just can’t resist them! However, I have no problems sharing my toys, treats and food without any aggression. I went to the groomers recently, and I was a good boy. I was nervous so was a little vocal. The groomer agreed I am anxious, but she bathed, dried and brushed me without issue, and I was happy the whole time. It felt so good to be clean and pampered. I like to go on short car rides like to the groomers, but will need slow intro to longer rides, as I can get motion sickness. I am hoping for a forever family of my very own. One that is patient and willing to take the time to teach me that the world is not a scary place, and that I can feel safe and not panic when someone needs to leave the house, because they will come back.
