ADOPTED! - Meet Frank! He's the sweetest little guy--very low key and loving! He is about 2 years old and he came to us from a shelter where he was going to be euthanized because he had demodectic mange. What a shame that would have been! This type of mange is not contagious, is easily treated, and is usually caused by stress. We brought Frank home to our rescue, and he has been doing great! It won't be long before his hair starts growing back, so don't let his temporary "bald spots" be a concern..... Frank would like a safely fenced yard (please, no invisible fencing) and he doesn't want to be a latchkey dog, so an adopter who works just part time, is retired, or works out of his/her home would be ideal. Frank is good with children but because he is small, we would prefer that he not be adopted by a family with young children because he might be inadvertently injured. Frank is working on his housebreaking skills and is doing well, but he still has an occasional accident so he would need a patient, understanding owner who is willing to continue working with him. Frank has been neutered, wormed, immunized, microchipped, and heartworm tested--and his adoption fee is $250. If you are interested in possibly adopting Frank, please first send us a "cover letter" describing yourself, your family/work situation, if you have a fenced yard and/or other pets, etc. (Our e-mail address is:
[email protected]) Then, if we feel you would be a good fit for Frank (and we all agree that Frank would be a good fit for you) we will e-mail you an application to fill out.
Please click on "One Starfish Rehoming Connections" under the photo to read more about our rescue's adoption policies and fees. We do not operate a humane society or shelter, so we do not have a facility that is open to the public. Our dogs are fostered by volunteers in private homes, and are not available for viewing until an adoption application is filled out and references are checked. Please read the information on our home page (by clicking on our rescue name below this dog's photo) before contacting us.
