My Story

Frank would like to thank Melanie B for being his best buddy. To find out more about CAAWS best buddy program and how you can become a best buddy visit www.caaws.org and click on best buddy program on the right hand side. This is Frank. He is a male German Shepherd born approximately 4/05. He has been neutered and is up to date on shots. Frank came from a situation where there were entirely too many animals living in one location, not taken good care of and received little socialization. The result of this is that he is very shy upon first meeting new people, but after given some time, warms up nicely. Another downfall of his prior living condition is that he is heartworm positive. CAAWS will pay for his treatment if you would like to adopt him before we can open up a foster home to put him through treatment. Frank is going to need a low-key, non-chaotic home to unpack his baggage. Because of his timidness, a home without small children or small dogs would be better for him. Much to our surprise though, he doesn't seem to mind cats. There aren't many people that don't take a double take when looking at this handsome specimen, so if you don't mind sharing the spotlight with a 70 lb. GSD that just wants a loving, caring family , then come see Frank on Saturdays from 11:00 to 3:00 at CAAWS.
