My Story

"Opening up your life to a dog who needs a home is one of the most fulfilling things you can do." -- Emma Kinney Hey there. My name is Franco. I am a 2-1/2 year old, 75 pound Mastiff mix fella. I was abandoned by my owner, and now I'm in a foster home with Rescue One waiting for someone to open up their life to me. I am a really good boy! I am house trained, and I'm pretty good on a leash. I am not a fan of being in a crate, but luckily, I really don't need to be. I get along with dogs, cats, and kids (though with my size, bigger, sturdier kids are best). I love hanging out with the kiddos in my foster home! Snuggling is one of my favorite activities, and I wish I was small enough to be a lap dog (sometimes I try anyway :). My foster mom tells me I have a really cute snore. My forever must have a 6 foot privacy fenced yard. Another dog 7/or kiddo to hang out and play with would be a nice bonus. I would be okay as an only dog, as long as I get plenty of play time and attention from my people. I would love an active family that will take me to dog-friendly places with them. Are you ready to feel the fulfillment of opening up your life to me? I sure hope so! Fill out an application today!! My adoption fee is $150 and includes my spay/neuter, vaccinations, wellness exam, heartworm test, and microchip! **Petfinder inquiries are NOT official applications! If you're interested in meeting/adopting me, please visit www.rescueonespringfield.com/our-adoption-process/adoption-application/ and fill out the form! We do adopt out of state with vet references and video home check. *Adopter is responsible for coming to get the dog and returning the dog if the adoption does not work out* Don't forget to LIKE us on Facebook!-www.facebook.com/rescueonespringfield *Remember, dogs are pack animals. Because of this, Rescue One does not adopt to outdoor-only homes. Pets are family and are not disposable. Please make sure that you are 100% committed to a pet before considering adding one to your home. We are a foster-based organization, and we need more fosters to help us save more animals! If you’re interested in saving lives just like the one you’re reading about, fill out a foster app here.
