My Story

My name is Fozzie. You can't tell by looking at me, but if you look at my brother LeRoy--you can see we have some Husky in us. And looking at my head, we have some Terrier in us. Where we get our extremely WILD hair is unknown. I got my name cuz I look like the Muppet Fozzie. My foster mom wanted to say my breed was Muppet.

I am one of the 5 puppies taken in by ARVSS from the Red Lake Rosie Rescue in Minnesota. We were all very sick and hungry. We were given lots of care and love. As soon as we were healthy enough, we were sent to Madison WI to find a forever home.

I was probably born around Feb 15--and it looks like I will be a big dog when fully grown--well over 60 lbs. I am use to being outside and in wide open areas. My first trip into Madison I was not very outgoing. My foster mom says we will work on getting me more socialized to the city life. I was not bad or to scared, I just did not participate in all the fun that was going on. My foster mom says I just need to get out more.

I am doing great in my crate. House training is going real well. I like the dogs and cats here at my foster home too. I am good with children, but my foster mom says I should be socialized more with the hustle and bustle of city life before I can get use to the hustle and bustle of children--But I think kids are great!

I am learning basic obedient. Come is always the first learned. My foster family feels that one is the most important. We are working on Sit and soon will work on Down. I did ok on the leash the first two times. It is a funny thing to try and get us to, but I am trying. I am really good off leash. I have not run off once.

Do you think you could love a mixed up puppy like me? I would love to meet you! Please fill out the application and let's get together
