No doubt that this little girl grew up in a home though, and not on the streets. She insists on sleeping in bed and snuggling at night, and is already crate trained and LOVES to go for walks.
Foxy was exposed to a terrible puppy disease while at the shelter, called Canine Parvo Virus. Because Foxy likely was not vaccinated in her puppy-hood prior to coming into the shelter, she became very ill. Unlike many puppies exposed to Parvo, which can be fatal, Foxy pulled through after 4 days of intensive care. She is now cured and is running and playing just like a healthy puppy should.
Foxy is approx. 5 1/2 months old. She is around 15 lbs right now, and we expect once full grown she will be between 20-25 lbs.
Foxy gets along well with other dogs, and even the cats in her foster home. We don't know how Foxy would do around small kids, as she hasn't had the ability to be exposed to them while in foster care. Foxy is crate trained, but is NOT fully housetrained and will need her future owners to continue working with her on her training and continue positive reinforcement. Before adopting a puppy, please make sure you have the time and resources available to properly train and socialize one. Puppies are A LOT of work!!!
Foxy has received all age-appropriate vet care including being spayed and vaccinated. Her required adoption donation is $250. For more information, or to request an adoption application, please email Foxy's foster home in Livonia at: [email protected] .
Please note: Adoptions are not on a 1st come, 1st serve basis, but are based upon which home is the most suitable placement for the animal's needs.
SORRY, NO OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS.
