Foxy

Meet Foxy! This small chihuahua mix had a bit of a rough start to life, but she has been learning that people can be okay. She came to WAG in August 2023 at the age of 6, absolutely terrified, overweight, and with knee issues. In the time that she has been at WAG, she underwent double knee surgery, lost a few pounds, and is moving better than ever, thanks in part to weekly swim sessions. Although Foxy's health is doing significantly better, Foxy is still a very timid dog and likely always will be. She does not like strangers and will bark- a lot- to express her fear, but once you win her over, she can be a loving companion. Foxy would do best in a home that does not share walls with a neighbor, has no children, and does not receive visitors too often. She does okay with other small dogs but has not been tested with cats. Foxy needs a person with a lot of patience that will give her time to adjust to a new living situation.
