Foxy lost her home when her owners moved. She is 4 years old, black and tan, and cropped and docked, though her ears do not stand. Foxy is very affectionate, in fact, she’s a velcro dog. She will need an owner that is either home most of the time or can take her along. She does not like to be left alone unless she is crated. Foxy travels very well, has good house manners and walks nicely on a leash. She is crate trained and house broken, never an accident.
Foxy lives easily with other dogs and she tends to be submissive. In her foster home she lives with another female her size and two males, and they all get along magnificently. Foxy would do well in a multi-dog family where she can play with other dogs, or as a single dog (and get all the love and attention of her people). Under the right circumstances she could live with cats too.
Foxy likes to think that she is a lap dog, and her foster parents are guilty of occasionally indulging her in that fantasy. She does take correction very well, so if you don't need a Doberman on your lap, just say so and she'll have no problem staying down.
She has an odd way of going that appears clumsy, but x-rays reveal no real trouble, just poor conformation and rather large feet. The funny thing is that she is the fastest runner of them all! Foxy’s a bit of an odd-duck, but she has an endearing quality that is hard to resist. Everybody that meets her loves her!
