Foster Needed! - Beets

Meet Beets! Beets is currently a resident at Chicago Animal Care & Control and is in need of a foster home. Beets was rescued from a cruelty case with over a dozen other dogs. Despite his challenging past, Beets is a sweet boy who just wants love! Beets is a wonderful 55lb red and white pitbull mix with a beautiful smooshy face. He is about two years old. Beets is confident!! He is playful and thinks everything and everyone is just awesome! He’s learned to love treats, adores getting attention from the volunteers at the shelter and loves to show off his SIT! Beets would love a home where plenty of laps & cuddles were available! He doesn’t always realize he’s not a teacup dog so Beets will sit on you and may be a bowling ball at times, but he’s gentle in taking treats, loves to sit right next to you and just enjoy your company. A yard would be great – he has impressive fetch skills and wants to show them off. While at the shelter Beets has been kept in a kennel so he’s used to being in a crate and likes to hang out with a busy bone when we can’t take him out. Once he’s had a good run, Beets has wonderful medium energy and can self-entertain. Beets has respectfully met female dogs and has not yet been tested with another male. Beets is goofy, sweet and squeezable! He’s ready to find himself a foster home and get on with loving life!
