My Story

How could you say no to these eyes and this beard?Forty is 5 years old and weighs about 40 pounds. Prior to coming to us he was living outdoors and is ready to start a new life!He is very loyal, protective and loving of "his" person. He tends to pick one person to stick to. He can co-exist with other calm dogs, but would prefer to be your one and only. Forty is used to living out in the country so walking in busy neighborhoods is an adjustment. He is working hard to master good house manners and is doing well! Inside his foster home, Forty is cuddly and easy going. Knowing he's safe allows him to drop his 'tough guy' act. He often sleeps on his back next to his foster mom. He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and on monthly flea/heartworm prevention. His adoption fee is $200 and you can apply to adopt at mpravl.org. All Mountain Pet Rescue (Asheville) animals are up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered and micro-chipped before adoption. Contact the foster parent or Mountain Pet Rescue at [email protected] for more information. Please note that visual breed identification of companion animals has been proven to be unreliable, so for most of our animals we provide a best guess at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our animals as an individual and do our best to describe and place pets based on personality not breed label. Mountain Pet Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit tax deductible charity (EIN 82-3039637) located in Asheville, NC.
