Forrest

Forrest is a one year old German shepherd/newfie mix from Wyoming. He was found as a stray and literally starving; however, his time in a kill shelter did not bring about any needed weight gain. Therefore, we are currently focusing on trying to get him to put on some pounds. We expect him to be around 90 pounds when fully grown and would suggest a home without small children due to the knock-down factor. He is a very sweet dog who does great around all dogs and cats, and is crate trained and working on house-breaking. He wants so badly to please and is such a nice fellow that we couldn't see him get put down. If you would be interested in meeting Forrest - please contact Gina.

The dogs in our program come with an additional four weeks of integration training after adoption. Integration training is one-on-one training with you, your new pet and a trainer. At NSC, we believe the key to successful placement is proper training. This way the dog knows what is expected of him, and you know how to communicate effectively with your dog.
