My Story
Foose is a neutered male, approximately 7 months old, current weight is 53 pounds. He is current on all shots through December of 2010. He is on Sentinel heart worm preventative which also has flea management and there has never been a flea or tick on him. This is one of the sweetest, most loving dogs you'll ever have the pleasure to meet. According to the vet, he's most likely an American Bulldog/Border Collie mix, and he's absolutely gorgeous. The vets and techs have all mentioned what a wonderful demeanor he has when he's in the office. He has never met a person, dog, or cat he didn't love, and he loves to cuddle on the couch with his head on your shoulder. He currently lives with a small dog and two cats, and often visits friends with smaller dogs and other cats. He is very gentle with smaller dogs, and is submissive around larger dogs. He is house broken, and very well behaved indoors. He is crate trained for when you are away from home. He was taught basic commands at home, then taken to a trainer for additional obedience training to reinforce good behavior no matter who is holding the leash. He knows sit, stay, heel, come, down, high five, take it, and drop it. He learns very quickly and would be very easy to teach additional commands. He even knows the difference in his toys. You can tell him to get his rope and he does, but you can name another toy and he will fetch it from his toy basket. He's got beauty AND brains! The only problem Foose has is a tendancy to get car sick, but this is getting a little better and will hopefully go away with time, especially with someone who is willing to work with him on getting in the car for progressively longer trips with a great reward at the end of the ride.
This guy loves to play and is excellent with children. He is a perfect family dog, and just needs love, room to run and play, and some quality cuddle time. He is not available for adoption because he has done anything wrong, but simply because he currently lives in an apartment and his owners feel he deserves a yard to run and play in. He will only be adopted out to a home better than he is in now to someone who will love him and give him all that he deserves.
