My Story

Name: Flynn Age: Estimated four years old Sex: Neutered Male Weight: 21.2 lbs Energy Level: Low (Level 3/10) Rescue Story: Flynn was rescued from an animal hoarder in Namhae, South Korea. He is currently fostered in South Korea and will fly to the US once he finds a suitable family. The approved family will have a two-week trial period to ensure commitment and match. More videos and pictures: [https://photos.app.goo.gl/ccbjaEMbtYXcsdQV8] Personality & Behavior: • With Women: Initially shy, Flynn quickly adapts and approaches for sniffing and petting. He enjoys being petted and will even lie down and expose his belly. • With Men: Similar to his behavior with women, Flynn is initially shy but warms up with gentle interaction. • With Children: Flynn fears children, especially if they are loud or make sudden movements. He tries to avoid them during walks. • With Large Dogs: Flynn is curious and wants to sniff but will continue walking after a brief greeting. • With Small Dogs: Flynn’s behavior is the same as with large dogs; he greets them politely and moves on. • With Cats and Other Animals: Flynn shows interest in chasing cats but will not pursue if restrained. He shows no interest in birds and has not interacted with other animals. Home Life: • Alone Time: Flynn spends up to 11 hours alone. Initially, he experienced separation anxiety, howling, and chewing on shoes and leashes, but he has since improved. • Car Rides: Flynn is good during car rides and does not experience motion sickness. He stays calm when held. • Walking: Flynn is excellent on a leash, matching his pace with his walker and not pulling. He may startle at sudden loud noises and may need reassurance during walks. • Bathing & Grooming: Flynn is cooperative during baths and tooth brushing. • Vocalization: Flynn rarely barks, usually only when excited or when someone arrives home. House Training: • Potty Training: Flynn is 100% house-trained for outdoor elimination. Daily Routine: • Morning: Wakes up at 6 AM for a walk and then has a snack. • Daytime: Stays alone at home until 6 PM. • Evening: Eats dinner and goes for a walk around 6 PM, then plays and rests until bedtime at 10 PM. Measurements: Neck: 14.2 inches (36 cm) Chest: 21.7 inches (55 cm) Body Length: 16.9 inches (43 cm) Health: Past Medical Issues: Flynn was treated for heartworm and Ehrlichiosis. He is currently healthy. Allergies: None known. Deworming: Last given Heartgard on 7/1 and Bravecto on 6/13. Diet & Play: Current Food: Now Fresh Turkey Recipe Favorite Treats: Loves all types of treats. Favorite Toys: Enjoys tug-of-war, plush, balls, and rope toys. Ideal Home: Flynn would thrive in a calm, patient, and understanding home. He may be shy initially, but with time and gentle care, he will adapt and show his affectionate side. He does well with adults and other dogs but would prefer a home without young children due to his initial fear of them. Flynn’s new family should be committed to giving him the love and stability he needs to feel secure and happy.
