My Story

If you love a Pyrenees mix, Flour might just be the right dog for you. He is around a year old and currently weighs 42 pounds. His medium length coat is white with specks. It is his facial markings that are so striking: The black around his eyes and his brown ears. He actually came from a Georgia shelter where he and his siblings were about to be euthanized. Our rescue partner took them in and now Flour is looking for a forever home.Pyrenees mixes are known for being gentle, loving, and affectionate. They are loyal to the people they meet and get to know. They like to be cuddle bugs. Flour is comfortable around other canines, adults, and kids. He has a medium energy level. He is shy at first and then becomes this sweet friendly dog. It is not known if he has met a cat. He has had experience being around horses and has done well with them. Being such a smart boy, Flour has aced his house, crate and leash training. He set his sights on his goal and now has master his skill set. Although he is housetrained, it is important to remember that accidents can occur while adjusting to a new home environment. Daily walks will support leash skills as well as socialization skills. It will be a new world to him with all the new sights, smells, sounds, and people along his walk. A secure back yard would give him free time to run and play. He probably would enjoy visits to a local dog park, too. Maybe he would also enjoy going for hikes or chasing tennis balls. At home he would benefit from lots of attention and mental stimulation in the form of activities and play toys. That will keep him from being bored.Flour has the potential to be a wonderful family companion. Are you willing to take on the task of helping him transition to a new life where he is loved and appreciated? If yes, read on.The adoption fee for Flour is $500. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue and transportation fees.
