ABOUT THIS ANIMAL:
Hi there, It's me Finnick. If you have a few minutes I would love to tell you all about me. I am a 1-year-old Staffordshire mix. Here is my story. I have been living in a shelter since I was 8 weeks old. Yes, you read that correctly. I spent my entire life in a cold rural shelter. The question is why. I wish I knew. Anyone who visited the shelter would walk right past me. I overheard some folks saying they don't want a pit mix. I'm not sure why. I am such a sweet boy and all I want is a loving home where my people will provide me with shelter, food and love. Lots of love.
Want to hear some fun facts about me? Good. I'm glad you do. I am
1.A great listener. If you ask me to sit, I will sit. If you say no, I will listen and stop. Not
many dogs can say that. Can they?
2.I love belly rubs. I think that is one of my favorite things. In return I will give you lots of
kisses
3.I love crawling on my belly in the grass and rolling around in it. You should look at the
videos on the website.
4.I walk great on a leash. I don't pull at all.
5.I enjoy the outdoors and will go on hikes or walks with anyone
6.I am treat motivated. I love my food.
7.I know commands like: sit, stay, lay
8.I am playful
9. I love playing in the water
10. I love car rides and I sit or lay in there quietly
So, I am afraid of some sounds and movement. I am just learning about all the great things in this big world from the many wonderful people who take me out. I saw and heard a fire truck for the first time. I learned they are loud and drive very fast. I also learned that I don't appreciate loud sirens. It scared me at first, but I am beginning to get used to it while out on daily outings. I have learned the world is not a scary place. I just need to trust my people and take it one step at a time. I may bark at first, but I warm up quickly. The staff at Homeward Trails say I am nothing next to perfect and anyone that passes me up is missing out on the most loyal and amazing companion you will find. I agree with them. How about you contact me Adoption Coordinator to schedule a visit and get to know me yourself. I promise you won't be disappointed.
