UPDATE 03/24/10-Finnegan was accepted into the Humane Society of Pulaski County with only 4 days left for us to find him a home!! Thank you so much to Kay and Nancy....I am forever in your debt!!
This is a courtesy post. DO NOT CONTACT THE CABOT ANIMAL SHELTER ABOUT THIS DOG!!
Finnegan is like a giant puppy. We adopted him from the Humane Society in Tucson when he was 12 weeks old. He was adopted and returned twice due to high energy. Luckily, in the past 8 years he has matured and calmed down, but still has a lot of energy. He loves other dogs- but he will chase a puppy or a cat (anything small) as if it's a squirrel. It isn't mean-spirited. Small dogs are ok (he has regular interaction with a papillon and they adore each other)- but probably no teeny tiny dogs or cats. He is exceptional with kids, bigger kids are good because he's big and tends to knock over little ones- but ours are used to it and don't mind. Finnegan is healthy, He would make a good dog for someone and he's got many years left. He loves, loves, loves people and attention- he looks like he smiles at you, he is a funny dog and he will make someone laugh a lot. (For example: He doesn't like dog treats and if you give him one, he will take it and then hide it somewhere in the house- I swear, he's trying to be polite by accepting it.)
Finnegan's family had recently hit some financial hardships and they are being transferred by the military at the end of March . We need to find him a good home before then. Please email me at vetspet80@yahoo.com if you are interested in this "little" guy.
