Finch came to us a scared, not so sure about life, what am I doing here in this place type of dog. In his few weeks at STAF he's really coming out of his shell as he's getting used to a routine that inculdes pets in the morning, breakfast, more pets, a walk, playtime with Lucas, and more pets. Then he takes an afternoon nap as he gets ready for the same thing during the evening volunteer shift. He's very much enjoying all of the attention being doled upon him.

Finch (estimated birthdate is 5/2007) is shy when meeting people for the first time. But he gets over that very quickly, especially if you pick him up and hold him in your lap. He'd love for you to come in and meet him.

• All of our animals are spayed/neutered and current on shots.


• You must complete an application at the shelter prior to meeting any of our animals. (Sorry--our application is not available on-line or via email.)


• We do not do same-day adoptions; we ask that you return for a follow-up visit before taking an animal home.


• We require a fenced yard (sorry--no invisible fences) for homes with children under age 13.


• We do request vet and personal references.


• At this time, we are only able to consider applicants within 150 miles of Cincinnati.
