Ezra should have Lionel Richie as his background music because we call him Easy Ezra. Easy just like a Sunday morning. This sweet little guy doesnt meet a stranger and hes always ready to play with the pups he meets.
And did I mention that he is a super smart. Having no place to go, he wondered up to one of our favorite rescuers driveway asking for help and stayed. He had no one looking or come forward for him. He knew that and knew how to get his way to YOU by taking himself to the quickest way to rescue.
His greatest affection aside from attention and treats is toys! You will often find a hoard of toys piled in his bed or collected in the back of his crate. It takes very little to gain his trust especially with some yummy treats which is his weakness, that and anything that squeaks.
Ezra is a petite little guy and super easy to fall for if you want a companion with some energy on walks but need downtime on the couch. His soulful brown eyes will melt you in no time for some hugs and affection.
He does have a bit of silly, goofy puppy, energy in him still to be around 4 years old. He loves to play with the other dogs he is fostered with. He is still young and they sometimes correct him when he needs to chill out, but he takes correction well. Also during his behavioral assessment if a dog is too much for him, he let them know politely that he needed space. He was cat tolerant, and did really well on the leash.
He would do best with a yard to run around in and get out his zoomie energy. He would love to have playmates or doggy friends that he can play with on a regular basis.
He will be ready for his trip to you after mid August, and is wondering if you were preparing a cozy bed with lots of toys in it for him. Fill out the application and he will hop a ride to you.

Why adopt from Three Little Pitties?
The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog youve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it!
Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dogs needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be!
It doesnt stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks:
30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.)
A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week)
