My Story

www.huskyrescueteam.org If you have additional questions please email [email protected] Ezera was adopted from a Baltimore shelter back in September. At a year old she weighed 40lbs. In April she was surrendered back to the shelter weighing a mere 24lbs with significant urine stains and some scalding. Ezera was easily 20 lbs underweight! Having lost 40% of her body weight Animal Control has opened an investigation and Ezera was been transferred into our care for rehabilitation. It hurt our H-E-A-R-Ts to see and touch her. She was all bones. But Ezera didn't let us feel sad for long. She is the happiest, sweetest little thing we ever did meet! She gives lots of kisses and the occasional puppy nibble. She sits herself down right in front of you for hugs and lovins and just closes her eyes taking in the affection. And her voice.... A booming voice out of a little body. Ezera has now regained all of that weight and is searching for a forever home that won't neglect her again. She's a petite Husky and has a smaller bone structure. Her ideal weight will be 45lbs. She loves everyone she meets, dogs and humans alike, but hasn't met any small animals so we can't say how she'd do with a cat or even a small dog. She'd love a home with another high energy pup or one who will take her to the dog park regularly to play. She is crate trained and housebroken, although you should expect accidents with any new dog until they learn the routine. She's high energy and needs an outlet for that energy either through play, dog park, doggy daycare, jogging/running, etc. She loves as big as she smiles. She will need a home where she's allowed to talk to you without disturbing the neighbors and she'd like you to take her on all your adventures. She's incredibly social and fearless. Ezera will need a family who can embrace her strong Husky spirit and laugh at her antics. She knows how to sit and shake. She walks great on a leash but gets excited to meet new people/dogs. She likes car rides too. She's a great all around Sibe! She's located in MD and we can transport along the east coast. Exceptions can be made on a case by case basis for homes outside of our adoption area. ~~Husky Education And Rescue Team is a foster based rescue. Our dogs are in our foster homes all up and down the east coast. We do not have a facility in which you can visit. We find this a huge benefit because we learn our dogs and are able to educate our adopters on what it's like to have them live in your home. Part of our process, once pre-approved, is to speak with the foster for the dog you're interested in. If you're still interested in adopting from our rescue the first step is to complete our adoption application online at www.huskyrescueteam.org/apply If you have additional questions please email [email protected]
