Meet Evie, a charming 1.5-year-old Chihuahua mix who weighs just 8 lbs of pure sweetness! When Evie first arrived, she was a bit shy, but she's quickly blossoming into a playful and affectionate little girl. She loves playing with other dogs, even the ones bigger in size than her, and is becoming more confident every day. Evie is incredibly gentle and gets along wonderfully with both adults and children. She’s proving to be quite the snuggler, making her the perfect companion for cozy nights. She’s well-behaved on walks and is mostly potty trained, learning to perfect doing her business outside. Evie is heartworm negative, up-to-date on her vaccines, and is scheduled for her spay procedure on 7/30. Due to the number of introductions/questions received (hundreds daily) we ask you submit an application on our website (that application can be used for any dog with Take Paws Rescue). The adoption fee for adult dogs covers age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, spay/neuter if not yet performed, heartworm test & appropriate heartworm treatment by the rescue's vet. All dogs in our care are also kept up-to-date on HW/Flea Prevention. Please see our website for more information. 2022 Adoption Fee Scale for non-benefactor animals: Puppies under 12 months - $350 Dogs over 12 months - $250 *Take Paws Rescue saves dogs from high-kill shelters in Southeast Louisiana, owner surrenders, and discarded dogs with uncertain futures.
