DOG'S DESCRIPTION: Say Hi to Everly! She and her sister, Ezlyn, came to us all the way from Tennessee in search of their forever home. Ezlyn has already been adopted, now her sister is looking for her special family! Everly (Evie for short), is doing great in her foster home and here's what her foster mom says about her:
* She's doing great- she's very sweet, loves people, especially kids!
* She's a little nervous around men (ie, backs up from them at first), but warms up quickly if they move slow.
* Has done great with the neighborhood dogs she's met.
* She's energetic and likes to run and play in the yard.
* She pulls very strong on leash, so we are working on leash training, but she is smart and motivated to learn!
* She sleeps quietly for 8 hours a night. Will only fuss a little at first when she goes in.
* Working on crate training during the day. Definitely prefers to be with us or at least in view of us.
* She loves food, and does not resource guard
* She doesn't love the car yet, is a little nervous, so we are working on acclimating by taking a few short rides a day.
* She seems to be housetraine no accidents yet!

Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.
Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.
Foster Program: Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home. For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/ or email our Foster Coordinator at
