We are working to figure this out. Everett is the black dog shown). Everett is a darling, lovable little character! He's a 9-month-old, 16-17#, fuzzy-haired lapfull of sweetness who is hard to resist! Everett is shyly sweet when meeting new people and other dogs, but he makes himself comfortable pretty quickly. He had a very rough start to his short life (link below), but he's a brave and hopeful little guy who's excited about life and happy to start each new day with his trademark big smile. He's amazing on walks with a freedom harness/leash, and he'll walk or hike as long as you'd like to... right by your side with no pulling. Everett is gentle and sweet, and wants to quietly spend time with his humans... napping near you or by/on your feet, or he will happily join you in any fun activity! Everett is doing well on house-training (using a consistent schedule) and crate-training (though he doesn't love to be in a crate unless for car travel). Everett is a quick study and likes to learn new things. He loves playdates with same-size or slightly bigger dog friends and has a silly, scrappy play style, but he'd be happiest as your "one and only" dog at home, being your loyal BFF and soaking up all the love and snuggles he can! Everett's ideal family would an active, affectionate adult family (or one with kids 10+) where he is the only beloved pet. He's the *best* walking partner, though he's pretty mellow and easygoing; and he's even better at snuggling up on the couch or bed with his favorite people! Adoption preference will be given to families who plan to attend positive reinforcement manners classes with their new pooch!
