Meet Everett? This charming male Hound/Lab mix is approximately 7 months old and weighs in at right around 25 pounds. Everett is what some might call a "Velcro dog" – he loves being close to his people and enjoys looking out the window, perhaps dreaming of his next adventure. One of Everett's favorite pastimes is giving hugs and playing with balls in the yard. While he's still getting used to the idea of the crate being a positive space, once he's comfortable, he's incredibly playful and full of energy. Despite occasional bursts of puppy energy, Everett has a laid-back side and can often be found lounging like a couch potato or curiously observing the neighborhood. Due to past experiences, Everett takes a few minutes to warm up to new situations and other dogs, understandable after being attacked as a puppy by a larger dog. He would thrive in a home where someone is present for the majority of the time, providing him with the calm and reassurance he needs.
