My Story

Introducing Everest, the energetic and extremely lovable 9-month-old Labrador Retriever/Shepherd mix! She currently weighs about 45 pounds and will be a large dog when fully grown. With her beautiful black and tan coat, floppy ears, and adorable curly tail, Everest is a little bouncy ball of energy. She loves all kinds of adventures, big or small, and enjoys romping around outside with her canine friends. Squeaky toys are her absolute favorite! When she's not busy playing, Everest lives for belly rubs. She will happily plop down and demand as many as you'll give. Everest is friendly and loves meeting new people, making her a perfect companion for other dogs, cats, or children at home. She is currently being fostered with multiple other dogs as well as young children. Everest is doing extremely well with her house training and is a pro at sleeping through the night in her crate. She also loves to go for walks with her foster family and walks well on a leash. Smart, goofy, and absolutely adorable, Everest is going to make the perfect family companion. She can't wait to meet her forever family! Visit our site today to begin an application for Everest - www.homeforgooddogs.org! Everest is spayed, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations, and microchipped. **Please note: completing an "adoption inquiry" via Adopt-a-pet/Petfinder does not constitute an HFG Dog Rescue adoption application. All adoption applications must be completed on www.hfgdr.org** HFG Dog Rescue is a 100 percent foster-based rescue located in Berkeley Heights, NJ with a sister location, The Almost Home Wellness Center, in Aiken, SC. All of our dogs are rescued from kill shelters in SC + GA and once ready for adoption live in loving local NJ foster homes until they find forever families of their own. Our fosters begin basic training, housebreaking, and leash-walking skills to help pair you with the perfect pup for life! In order to apply for adoption and set up an individual meet and greet with one of our dogs, please visit us at www.hfgdr.org. Find us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/HomeForGoodDogRescue.
