My Story

Female, 7 weeks old (as of June 20), 4.6 lbs Personality: playful, energetic, rambunctious, outgoing, smart, and easygoing. Ethel is a member of the "I Love Lucy" litter. She and her siblings Fred and Ricky are playful and affectionate. They all enjoy playing in the flower beds, romping with toys, and chewing on bones. The pups have already figured out how to signal when it's time to go outside for #2, which is pretty impressive for their age. They are all making progress on using pee pads as well. Ethel may be the smallest of the litter, but she is a feisty and talkative girl who loves her toys! And look at her ears! How can you resist? Are you looking for puppy love? Apply today to get acquainted with Ethel! If you are interested in meeting a dog or cat, we require an adoption application. If the animal has "HAS APPLICATION" listed, they are still available to receive additional applications but also may be in the process of being adopted soon. Learn more, see our list of dogs needing foster, and apply, https://www.citydogsrescuedc.org/foster-a-city-dog.html City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is a foster-based rescue in Washington, DC. We do not have a shelter. CDCK has a thorough adoption process to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats (we do not operate under a first-come, first-served model). Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter for dogs six months and older. We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam before adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDCK. City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us. Dog specific: Rabies, DHPP, Lepto and Bordetella vaccines. They are tested for HW, Lyme, Ehrlichia, Anaplasmosis. Most cats and dogs will have a house-training accident in the initial days in their new home and we cannot guarantee any pet is housebroken or crate trained.
