Estrella

Estrella is well named because she is a shining star. This sweet, beautiful lady is just waiting to meet you and trust us, once you have spent 2 minutes with her you will wonder how you have ever lived without her. Estrella is a lady through and through. She greets new people politely, reserving her "happy dance" for the folks she knows and loves. She also "corn-cobs" her inner circle when she is really excited. This consists of gentle nibbling of your arm, a grooming gesture reserved for people she loves. (It is adorable!) We really aren't sure how Estrella can be so lovely with every human she meets, as we humans certainly weren't very kind to her. She was abandoned by her people when she grew to adulthood, and left to fend for herself in a beach town. Like pretty much all beach dogs, she was plagued by fleas and mosquitoes, ganged up on by multiple males when she came into heat, and neighbors threatened to poison her as the males were fighting each other over her. Luckily for Estrella, a kind rescuer stepped up and brought her in, treated her parasites and got her sterilized and healthy. She walks beautifully by your side when out on leash walks. She likes sniffing and exploring on walks, but doesn't need long walks or a ton of exercise. She is very chill and easy going in the home and happy to adjust to your schedule. Estrella is pretty quiet and doesn't use her voice much. Her favourite things are food (treats are even better!) She is very food motivated, so easy to train. Estrella gets along well with people of all ages and stages, dogs and cats. She is still learning how to play. Her life on the street didn't have a lot of playtime in it, but now that she is retired, she is ready to learn. She is fine at home alone, but loves to sleep near you at night. She is house trained and She snores a little, which we also find adorable! Cars are fairly new to Estrella, but she is learning that they take her to fun destinations. Estrella is about 3-4 years old. She is microchipped, fully vaccinated and health tested, on flea/tick medication, and is spayed. She is a pretty perfect package. Don't wait, come meet her today!
