BIO: Are you a coffee lover who needs some extra pep to get moving in the morning? My name is Espresso, and I am ready to be the happy, fun friend who gets your days started right! You will love running your hands through my feathery, mocha-colored fur when you wake up, and then we can have a great time on a long morning walk to get our exercise. I am a sweet, loyal, adorable and smart pup who is simply happy to spend time curled up on the couch with the people I love. I can entertain myself for long periods of time with all the toys I can get my paws on. Since I have spurts of exuberant energy, I will probably do best with older household members. I have been working hard on my manners with my foster family and I have come a long way but I still can get a little nervous when meeting new people and dogs. If I'm introduced slowly I do so much better. I would love a forever home with a dog savvy family that would be willing to continue with training to help me be the best dog I can be. And did I mention that I am a smarty-pants? I am fully potty trained, crate trained and have already learned a bunch of commands including sit, come, lay down and shake paws. I sleep like a dream in my crate but when you get up in the morning or arrive home from work I will use my singing voice to let you know I miss you and want to get out of my crate and join the fun. I would do best in a house without shared walls (no apartments/condos/townhomes). A fenced in yard (5ft or higher) would be great but is not required.
