Esmeralda Lab mix Female 2.5 yo 40lbs. Dogs Hi! My name is Esmeralda. My foster family calls me “Ezzie” for short. I am a female with a force!! I used to be an island dog from Roatan, Honduras until I was lucky enough to come to the US to live a better life. It's a whole story— ask my people! I love long walks, running, jumping, and playing. I also love to help with the laundry! I love to steal socks out of the basket and take them to my crate! Haha! However, I don’t chew on them or anything else I’m not supposed to, I just like my foster Mom’s things nearby me. You can call me a collector of sorts. I tend to be shy and timid to new scenarios, as I am still adjusting to living The American Dream. I am anxious sometimes to trust humans so need extra love and patience and then I start to come around. Let me tell you that when I do, I'm a loyal, snuggly, loving, do or die type of forever friend. I am crate-trained and sleep in my crate all night. I am housebroken, and never had even one accident in the house. I get so excited to see those that hold my heart that my whole body wiggles! I absolutely love cuddles on the couch and watching TV. I do not bark hardly ever so if you are looking for a quiet dog, I am it! I am super smart, the sky is the limit! My ears are one of my favorite features! They give me character and work very well!! Antennas to the world I say! I am good with other dogs, they make me feel safe and I enjoy playing. I have not been around children much so I would need to navigate their energy with mine.
