Arrival story: Ernie's family could no longer keep him.
Approximate age: Approximately 3 years old and weighs about 75 lbs.
Personality: Ernie is a cutie! He is very overweight right now, so he would really enjoy joining you on daily walks or jogs. Ernie is a smart dog and has a lot of energy, but he settles down nicely in the house. He knows his basic commands and what’s acceptable to chew on. We're still getting to know this adorable guy, so we will post more as we get to know him better. We do know that Ernie loves car rides!
Forever home: Ernie is looking for an active family of his very own who will help him get back to his healthy weight. A home with a physical fence is best for this guy. Ernie would love to have a doggie buddy to play with, too.

Waggin' Tails Adoption Information: Waggin' Tails Dog Rescue has a standard adoption fee of $175, or $200 for puppies plus a $50 deposit which is returned upon proof of spay/neuter at six months of age. Our adoption process includes an application, vet reference checks, and a home visit.
We do not have a facility; all of our dogs are fostered in private homes. To view our dogs, please check www.waggintailsdogrescue.org for the dates of our next adoption events. With few exceptions, we show our adoptable animals on Saturdays from 12pm - 3pm at Petco in Novi (on Novi Rd south of 12 mile) or Petco in Farmington Hills (Orchard Lake south of 14 mile). Arrangements can be made to meet our rescue dogs outside of Saturday adoption events after an approved application is submitted (the application does not imply an obligation by the applicant or by the rescue group).
Please be kind to our volunteers who have made rescue a second job that they do in their spare time after coming home from full-time jobs. E-mail inquiries will be answered much more quickly than phone inquiries; our phone number is a voice mailbox only.
Thank you for your support of rescue and your interest in a rescue dog!
