My Story

Ernie was found as a stray in Savannah along with his bother, Burt, and their pal Thurgood. He's completed treatment for heartworms. Ernie is a wonderful hound - completely house-broken and now dog-door savvy. He doesn’t beg for people-food, but will stand on his hind end and paw at the air when given treats. Both Burt and Ernie were obviously someone’s loved pets, because they are so well-mannered and well-behaved. He is around 7 years old. He loves to explore the big back yard, sniffing at everything he finds. He is very inquisitive, but not at all destructive of anything in the house. Ernie loves to perform ‘squeekectomies’ on all chew-toys. He is a great car-rider and appears to get along well with other dogs. He's very outgoing. Although they don't have to be adopted together, Burt and Ernie would make a wonderful pair. For more photos and for information on adopting this dog, please visit http://www.bhrg.org.
