Hi! I'm Erik, an adorable Pit Bull mix boy, born on May 9, 2024 to a lovely stray lady named Vanka. She has lovingly raised me and my 10 brothers and sisters and now we're ready to find our furever homes!
I’m currently working on my house and crate training. I haven't been introduced to the leash yet. I get along wonderfully with other dogs, cats, and kids, although as I get bigger I may knock little ones over. I’m looking for a forever home with a privacy-fenced yard where I can explore and play safely. Another canine friend would be great, but not required! I will need a patient family who understands that puppies need training and consistent guidance. If you've been dreaming of a puppy to love and guide, then we share a dream. I've been dreaming of my forever home with a family will love and guide me.
It's easy to apply to meet me:

**As a reminder, puppies will need lots of time and attention during the first year. Before adopting me, please make sure that you have enough time, energy and commitment to devote to my training. Puppies need a lot of care, so everyone in your household should be on board and ready to help out**
My adoption fee is $150 and includes my spay/neuter, vaccinations, wellness exam, heartworm test, and microchip!
**Petfinder inquiries are NOT official applications! If you're interested in meeting/adopting me, please visit www.rescueonespringfield.com/our-adoption-process/adoption-application/ and fill out the form!
We do adopt out of state with vet references and video home check. *Adopter is responsible for coming to get the dog and returning the dog if the adoption does not work out*

*Remember, dogs are pack animals. Because of this, Rescue One does not adopt to outdoor-only homes. Pets are family and are not disposable. Please make sure that you are 100% committed to a pet before considering adding one to your home.
We are a foster-based organization, and we need more fosters to help us save more animals! If you’re interested in saving lives just like the one you’re reading about, fill out a foster app here. To foster dogs: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/foster/ROS/Dog
