My Story

Update 2/4/09: Eric's foster mom says this little guy is one of the easiest going puppies she's ever hosted. He's been learning all the house rules, sleeps in his crate without a fuss, and he's doing great with his house training. Eric loves playing outside in the snow and he's starting to get the hang of walking on a leash. He's also started learning some basic obedience commands, but of course, like any baby puppy, Eric would benefit from formal obedience training. He's a fun fellow to have around, and his forever family will be lucky to bring home such a wonderful new pup.

Update 1/25/09: Happy, active 4-5 month old puppy seeks happy, active forever family! Kids and other dogs a plus!

Say hello to Eric, one of a litter of puppies abandoned and then rescued by our partner shelter in Arkansas. Eric seems no worse for wear from his early ordeal. This little guy seems happy, well-adjusted, affectionate and curious about everything. He gets along well with other dogs, and loves to play, especially in the snow. He adores people of all ages, and this weekend he's met and done well with children aged 4 to 14.

Eric is still a baby so his house training is a work in progress. He did sleep in his crate last night without a fuss. Like any puppy, Eric would benefit from obedience training. He's been easy to handle and was a good sport about his bath as you can see in the picture. Eric is a very happy, energetic puppy and will need regular opportunities for exercise.

He had his first walk on a leash yesterday and seemed to enjoy the new experience. He'll need some practice before he totally gets the idea. He really likes to explore new sights and smells. He's an intrepid little 20-pound guy, who is of course still growing.

If you're looking for adorable, lively addition to your family, ask about Eric!
