My Story

Sweet little Enzo is around 10 weeks old and weighs a whopping 6lbs. He’s guessed to be a Jack Russell Terrier mix, so he’ll probably only be about 15-20lbs when grown. Enzo is a happy ball of puppy energy with a talent for silly faces and sounds that will have you laughing until you cry. Despite his pint sized body he has loads of love and affection to share. He’s a wiggle worm who loves to give kisses and play with toys. He’s working on potty training but is super food motivated, which makes learning easy. He also sleeps in his kennel at night and is crated when his fosters aren’t home to supervise his wild puppy antics. Enzo lives with foster doggo & human siblings and does well with all of them! He’s an adventurous tot who loves to explore and enjoys a good road trip, where he’ll happily snooze along the way. Enzo is a sweetheart that’s impossible to resist. He’s guaranteed to make you believe in love at first sight! PLEASE READ BELOW: If you are interested in meeting and/or adopting, the first step is to please visit our website to complete an application and read all of our FAQs: https://www.takepawsrescue.org/adopt **Please do not use the "Introduce Yourself" feature. The information needed to determine if you might be a match for one of our animals can only be found on our application. An inquiry, questions or introduction through Petfinder is NOT an application. All known details about our animals are posted on their profile and updated daily. Other info would be discussed in detail with the foster during the application review process. Due to the number of introductions/questions received (hundreds daily) we ask you submit an application on our website (that application can be used for any dog with Take Paws Rescue). The adoption fee for puppies covers initial deworming, puppy vaccinations, microchip, and spay/neuter at the rescue's approved vet at 6 months of age. Please see our website for more information. 2024 Adoption Fee Scale for non-benefactor animals: Puppies under 12 months - $350 Dogs over 12 months - $250 For additional information, including the adoption process and our adoption fee scale for all our adoptable pets, see our FAQs page: https://www.takepawsrescue.org/faq *Take Paws Rescue saves dogs from high-kill shelters in Southeast Louisiana, owner surrenders, and discarded dogs with uncertain futures. All of our puppies live in foster homes where they are socialized, and well cared for. An application will be required to make sure it’s the perfect match! **Any breed labels used by Take Paws Rescue, its employees/volunteers, or on vet records provided cannot be guaranteed. Breed labels are given based on information obtained during intake and/or best guesses based on appearance and/or temperament of the dogs and Take Paws Rescue gives no assurance to the accuracy of these labels. Labels are necessary for postings to many animal networking sites, such as Pet Finder, and are no way a guarantee. Additionally, exact age and potential size cannot be guaranteed.
