November is Adopt a Senior month Hi, I’m Emmit. I am an 8-year-old 'country boy'. I grew up on a large farm, and was recently abandoned by my owner. A concerned neighbor took me in for the last 5 months, but with an already busy house, I need a quieter home and more attention. Although I have been raised mostly outside to fend for myself, I have taken a liking to being a housedog and never want to be an “outside dog” again. I am house-trained and well mannered in the house. I get along great with other dogs and house cats. Although I am good with kids, I would do best in a home without small children. I am very athletic – I can run on the farm for hours; but I am also a couch potato - I spend some time in the house on the couch sound asleep. I am also good with livestock. I am an excellent guard dog and very protective of my family and property. I am even a quick learner – that’s a Weimaraner trait, ya know. I have been on the short end of the stick as far as my emotional needs being met for most o f my life, and I just want to be with my very own 'family'. I would thrive in a home with someone who is home most of the day. I love to be petted and get belly scratches. I want to be by my humans most of the day! I am being fostered in Osgood, IN. I am up to date on my vaccinations, neutered, heart worm negative and on preventative, and micro chipped.
