Emmett is the total package - handsome, playful, friendly, and cuddly. He gets along with people and other well behaved dogs - big and small. He weighs about 55 lbs., and his two favorite playmates are chihuahua mixes that he lives with. He love to give and receive hugs. Emmett is crate trained, house trained, walks well on a leash, and he’s about to complete his AKC Canine Good Citizen training! He knows sit, down, place, stay, and come! Emmett would do well in a home with other dogs, older children, lots of treats, and a fenced yard to play in, but no cats please. He would also do well as an only dog in an active family. PRIVATE MEET & GREETS: Submitting an adoption application is required before a private meet & greet will be scheduled. We will complete a pre-screening first to make sure that the dog you are interested in is a good fit for you. That way, we don't unnecessarily waste your time or the foster's time. Our adoption fee is $300 and includes all age appropriate vaccines, spay or neuter and microchipping. All of our rescue dogs are heart worm tested annually beginning at 9 months of age, and they are kept on monthly heart worm and flea preventatives. The breed and age included in this listing is based upon the opinion of a vet that has examined the dog. We cannot confirm the age of the dog unless the dog was born in the care of the rescue. We are located in the metro Atlanta area. We currently do not allow out of state adoptions as a home check is required as part of the adoption process.
