Veronica and Douglas were looking for an easy-going, cat-friendly dog, when they came across Emma. Emma is now a Vancouver princess. Emma and Misha, their cat, are getting along just fine... even to the point where they were caught sleeping together! Thank-you to the two Wendy's and their partners for fostering Emma, and Veronica and Douglas for choosing her.
Emma is a sweet, loving 6 year old that has been spayed and tattooed. She loves affection and would be content giving kisses until you are soaking wet. She can be standoffish or skittish when she first meets new people but once she has warmed up to you she is a friend for life. She would love nothing more than to spend days playing with you outside and nights curled up on your lap or even better, under your covers. Emma is fully house-trained and crate-trained and will let you sleep in but has decent energy once she is on the go. While she is cute when she tries to roll over, she could use some help with her manners, both on leash and off. She is not tolerant of small children, but enjoys the playfulness and companionship of other more laid-back dogs. She is scared of cats, so is best off with cats who will not harass her.
Emma is best suited for a quieter home with no children. She is a timid dog until she gets to know you.
