Emily

Emily Emily is a teeny tiny, seemingly frail little girl that must possess reserves of courage and fortitude that I can only guess that. She is another little mama, just like her buddy Gemma, that not only managed to survive in a very dangerous and brutal environment, but to take care of her babies also. She is a young mama, probably only, 1-2 yrs and 28 lbs. Though, she managed to survive that nightmare, she is understandably, a bit overwhelmed and confused in a home. Emily is shy and scared but beginning to blossom. She recently learned to walk on leash. At first, it was very haltingly, but every day we go further and further. She now wags her tail when she sees me and takes treats ever so gently. Well, she is reticent with humans, she is quite bold when playing with her buddy Gemma. The two of them just loved to wrestle and wrestle most of the day. Gemma will usually take the initiative and really chew on her, but Emily is quite capable of giving it back. She was also extremely brave and headed right into the pool. Both girls love the water and one another!!! She would definitely do best in a home with another doggy buddy. I am guessing that Emily has not seen much love or kindness in this world. This very special girl could use a very special person to show her some and help her continue to blossom.
