Emeril

Look at that face! Emmy is a 7 year old Maltese mix who has experienced a lot of loss in his life. He lost his owner; he and his buddy Gordon moved to Wisconsin, and Gordon passed away so he lost his best friend. Emeril also lost his eye to a serious infection and lost all his teeth. The second photo is from when Emmy arrived at our home, long hair, infected right eye, kind of a mess. His best feature is that one of his long ears stands straight up while the other is floppy - just too cute for words! Even so, he's a funny sweet guy. He is living with 8 other dogs right now in our kennel-free home and gets along with everyone. He does like to try to boss them around, he thinks he's a big dog. He will bark at whichever dog is in his favorite chair until he gets what he wants, so he can be tenacious and stubborn. Emeril is looking for a quiet forever home with someone who can cuddle and meet his special needs, which quite simply is he can only eat wet food or home made mashed up food/baby food. He will do quite well with another dog/cat. Emmy is healthy, up to date on vaccinations, and not neutered due to the veterinarian's recommendation.
