Meet Elvis- He ain't nothing but a Hound Dog crying all the time!!!
Not really he never cries about anything! This dog is absolutely perfect and has been overlooked!
Elvis is a 80 lbs neutered Hound / Catahoula Cur mix approximately 5 years old with beautiful baby blue eyes! He is such a lovely dog who has never met a stranger! He came from a hoarding situation where the owner passed away and the niece rehomed all of his animals. When I say he came from a sad situation, it was horrible. There were over 80 dogs on this property- many of them injured or had skin issues from flea infestation. Some sadly were already deceased when we arrived on site. Elvis was my add on- meaning there were four rescues in total pulling dogs from this hoarding situation. He was so quiet and just was the calm in the chaos. Later I understood why. After being examined by our veterinarian, he determined Elvis is deaf more than likely from a previous injury. It does not slow him down at all- he is one of the funniest dogs at our rescue. When we walk him out to a play yard sometimes he will body crawl as if he were in the army! It is hilarious! He is a total ham! Everyone is smitten with him and none of our volunteers can understand why he is still up for adoption. He has been with us at BARK for over a year. He loves other dogs unless it's a dominant male dog and he loves people and children! Unknown with cats as he has never been around them before but due to his demeanor, we think he would be okay if properly introduced with them. If you think this handsome dude would be a good fit in your home, please email us at [email protected] for more information!
