his owners "weren't nothing but hound dogs" - as he came in as what vets described as severely emaciated on 10-28-4 ,then on 11-18-4 we took him to vet when we noted an abcess which developed in his cheek, the vet discovered he had been badly attacked in his mouth some time ago and it was never treated, so we had the abcess drained and he is recovering well, he is gaining weight and his coat is now shining, he likes other dogs of all sizes, and is housetrained, he is fine with kids, Elvis, is a calm boy, approx 5 year old. he is good in crate and will go in on own to lie down and sleep, but prefers the couch, thus he may prefer adult comapnionship. he's a very quiet dog unless he hears something outside, then he will bay and let you know that someone is here or going by, but he can be told to be quiet and will do so, he has EXCELLENT hearing. he will also pursue a cat given the opportunity & will scale a 6 foot fence if left outside unattended and probably be gone if not tied. so a fenced yard is preferred, we have neutered and vaccinated and boostered plus treated with revolution and drontal for parasite prevention, $150 adoption fee will apply , comes with 1 month free pet insurance, a bag of transitionary food and an id tag, apply by completing dog application off adoption page at www.adoptapet.lucknow.on.ca, being fostered near Lucknow, adopted 1-28-5 to grace wright of toronto
