Elvis

**Currently in boarding in Alexandria, VA** Meet Elvis! This 1.5 year old 50lb cattle dog mix is full of love and energy! He is currently being boarded at our partner facility where he is engaged in daily doggy daycare and training. We would love nothing more then to have Elvis out of boarding and in a home. Boarding is no place for a dog long-term but sadly Elvis just keeps getting overlooked. His favorite things are whipped cream and toys that keep his mind engaged. This sweet boy is looking for a home with an experienced dog owner that is familiar with the Cattle Dog breed and who is committed to taking him to training. A dog as smart and athletic as Elvis can get bored easily. A bored dog is a trouble maker dog! When left alone unsupervised, Elvis is known to get into some mischiefs, especially if he is under-stimulated. Elvis is potty trained, but he is terrified of the crate and when in it, he will veto it by watering the floor. His ideal home is one with a human who is home for most part of the day, active, ready to go to class with him regularly and continue to work with him or even a home with lots of land where he can burn off his energy. He has done well living with another dog in the home, though he is sometimes not fond of sharing the thing he loves the most- his puzzle toys.
