Elvis

DOB: 6/3/2021 Weight: 7# Elvis is vaccinated, dewormed, defleaed, neutered, microchipped with lifetime registration to the rescue, heartworm positive (8/17/2023) and is on monthly prevention for slow-kill treatment. I was at an RV park doing a home visit for a minpin and heard distressed barking. Elvis and Costello were in a tiny make shift crate in Houston's June summer heat. I was told that they lived like that in the elements 24/7/365. The owner agreed to surrender them. They were both very underweight, swarming with fleas, intestinal worms, intact, no current vetting, etc. It took a few months to get them up to a good weight and ready for neutering in August. They are both good boys with nice temperaments. They play great with the minpins and other small foster dogs. They're sweet and smart and very appreciative of the comforts of being an inside dog. They're crate trained and doing great with their house training. They're both good with their grooming and baths. Elvis and Costello are littermates and can either be adopted together or separate. Elvis is a little smaller and lighter blonde. Costello is a little bigger and more reddish/gold. If there are any fencing issues, make sure that repairs are done prior to the home visit. Typically, the adoption is finalized the day after the home visit and meet and greet. Out of area adopters would need to drive/fly in to meet the dogs and adopt.
