Meet Elsie! This beautiful blue Merle Great Dane aka The Apollo of Dogs" is as affectionate as she is friendly and gentle. Danes are people pleasers who make friends easily. She's the ultimate companion for people and dogs alike. Elsie has a playful side but can also relax at home with plenty of cuddles. She is easy to train and eager to please, making her an ideal addition to any family. If you're looking for a furry friend to share lots of love and adventures with, Elsie is the one for you! Elsie has been spayed, at which time she also received a " gastropexy" ( basically tacked her stomach so she would not develop gastric dilatation volvulus, or GDV. aka bloat, , something common for this giant bred). She has been microchipped, fully vaccinated and just finished out her heartworm treatment ( she tested positive when we rescued her). She is on heartworm and flea prevention. She can be very playful and very much has a silly side. She is young: turning two years old this October. She currently weighs a healthy 101.4 pounds. She gets along with other dogs, and is a sweet gentle giant of a love.. We would prefer a family that has had experience with this breed to adopt her, or at least experience with a giant breed dog.
